July 2026 - carbon and oxygen analyzers were installed at Gdańsk University of Technology | Faculty of Chemistry at the Gdańsk University of Technology

As part of the ASCEND project, the laboratory at Gdańsk University of Technology has been equipped with new carbon and oxygen analyzers. These instruments will support the characterization of materials developed within the project, in particular SiOC/SiOxCy ceramic matrices and composites intended for use as anode materials in lithium-ion batteries.

Precise determination of carbon and oxygen content will enable better control of the synthesis process and support the evaluation of relationships between chemical composition, material structure and electrochemical performance. The installation of this equipment is an important element in strengthening the research infrastructure of the ASCEND project.
