Młyn kulowy

The Department of Organic Chemistry is equipped with an Anton Paar BM500 ball mill, designed for grinding and homogenizing various types of samples - from soft and fibrous to hard and brittle. The device can also be used to carry out chemical reactions without the use of a solvent or with a minimum amount of it, which is in line with the trend of green chemistry.

Device parameters:

  • final fineness: up to 1 µm
  • maximum volume: 2 x 50 ml
  • grinding time: from 5 s to 99 min
  • vibration frequency: from 3 Hz to 30 Hz (180 min-1 to 1800 min-1), in 0.1 Hz steps

The device is located in the room 104 in Faculty of Chemistry Building A.
