The Department of Organic Chemistry is equipped with a SC 920 G vacuum pump system by KNF coupled with a Hei-CHILL 250 chiller (cooler) by Heidolph designed for drying substances or distillation under reduced pressure (including using a rotary evaporator).
Vacuum pump parameters:
- minimum pressure: 2 mbar (1.5 mmHg)
- flow rate: 21 L/min
Chiller parameters:
- temperature range: –10° C to 40°C (±0.5°C)
- flow rate of the cooling agent: 9 L/min
The device is located in the room 104 in Faculty of Chemistry Building A.
