Faculty seminar "Nuclear Quantum Effects on Multiple Proton Transfer in Molecular Crystals: The Case of Terepthalic Acid"
The faculty seminar will be on Monday, 25.07. at 13.15 in the auditorium 1.4. and on the MS Teams platform. Our guest will be Prof. Prasejit Ghosh from the Indian Institute of Science, Education and Research, Pune and the topic of his speech will be "Nuclear Quantum Effects on Multiple Proton Transfer in Molecular Crystals: The Case of Terepthalic Acid".
Prasenjit Ghosh obtained his PhD in Computational Material Science in 2007 from the Jawaharlal Nehru Centre for Advanced Scientific Research, Bangalore under the guidance of Prof Shobhana Narasimhan, JNCASR, India and Prof. Umesh V. Waghmare, JNCASR, India. He was a postdoctoral research fellow working with Prof. Ralph Gebauer, at the Condensed Matter and Statistical Physics Section of The Abdus Salam International Centre for Theoretical Physics, ICTP, Trieste, Italy from September 2007 to August 2010 before joining IISER Pune in September 2010. Currently he is an associate professor at IISER Pune. His research interests focus on several topics of condensed matter physics such as a) nuclear quantum effects, b) Catalysis, c) Thermoelectrics, and d) Physics and chemistry of layered materials.
