Cosmetic Formulations Research Club
The COSLAB Cosmetic Formulations Research Club launched this academic year. Students work on the entire cosmetics development process – from formula design to laboratory evaluation. The club's mission is to develop a scientific approach to formulation and disseminate reliable knowledge about skin needs. Membership allows you to gain practical experience, develop research skills, and participate in conferences. Interested parties are welcome to contact us. More information can be found HERE.

Professor Adam Macierzanka
We are pleased to announce that our colleague, Dr. DSc, Eng, Adam Macierzanka, has been awarded the title of Professor of Natural Sciences in the discipline of chemical sciences. This title acknowledges his significant scientific achievements and long-standing contribution to the development of research in the fields of physical chemistry and food biochemistry, as well as biocolloids and biosurfactants. We extend our sincere congratulations and appreciation for his scientific achievements and contribution to the development of the discipline.

Baltic Science Festival 2026
On May 21-22, 2026, faculty from the Department of Biotechnology and Microbiology at Gdańsk University of Technology will lead three workshops as part of the 27th Baltic Science Festival (BFN). The events are open to all science enthusiasts. Participation is free, but space is limited – registration is required.

The Department of Biotechnology and Microbiology invites you to Gdańsk University of Technology's Open Day, which will take place on March 20, 2026, the day before the first day of spring. Our department's program includes a presentation of our cosmetics laboratory and a workshop titled "The Microworld Around Us – Discovering the World Invisible to the Naked Eye!"

Industry Days of the Faculty of Chemistry, Gdańsk University of Technology
Employees of the Department of Biotechnology and Microbiology actively participated in the first edition of the Industry Days of the Faculty of Chemistry of the Gdańsk University of Technology, which took place on February 18, 2026 on the premises of the Gdańsk University of Technology, presenting the scientific and research potential of the Department in three zones of the event.
