ISSCN is a Science Club for Student studying at one or more of Fahrenheit Universities (Gdansk University of Technology, Medical University of Gdansk and Gdansk University).
We are organize the “What are the secrets of your brain?” panel at the Young Science Congress, plan psycho-educational meetings within and outside of the three universities (Gdańsk Tech, Medical University of Gdańsk and University of Gdańsk) on topics such as neurodiversity, strokes or dementia. During events such as the Festival of Academic Organizations and Clubs (FOKA), Technicalia of Gdansk University of Technology, Brain Days or Pomeranian Night of Scientists, we present, among other things, a simple single-channel brain-computer interface called Mindflex, which allows you to control a ball through an obstacle course using brain waves. This interface is being studied by us in more depth in the BrainSync project, where with its help, combined with an electroencephalography cap and neuropsychological tests, we are investigating the secrets of attention. This project was awarded 2nd place in the scientific research project category of the Fahrenheit Collaboration Champions competition and 2nd place on the Neuroscience and Neurosurgery panel at the 29th International Student Scientific Conference (ISSC).
