    Electrochemical sensing of nitroaromatics

Electrochemical sensors are used to detect various analytes in aqueous environments. To make a measurement, an electrochemical cell must be assembled and connected to three electrodes: working, reference and counter-electrode. The working electrode is then polarised using an extremely sensitive potentiostat, which then records the current generated by our analyte.

How the carbon samples look like?

Our electrode that has the ability to detect nitroaromatic compounds is the exoskeleton of carbon structures. What the sample looks like in reality can be seen.
