It is with deep regret and sadness that we inform you that on 5 September this year, Franciszek Kozera, PhD, Eng., a retired employee of the Faculty of Chemistry, passed away.

Franciszek Kozera, PhD, Eng. linked his entire professional life with the Faculty of Chemistry of Gdańsk University of Technology. In the years 1969-2014, he worked, in the Department of General Chemistry, the Department of Inorganic Chemistry, he was the head of the Laboratory for Research on Working Conditions and the Dean's representative for hazardous waste. He set an example of diligence, conscientiousness and meticulousness in the implementation of scientific research and in educating students, while also impressing with his modesty and kindness. His scientific work resulted in patent applications and implementations, and the knowledge he willingly shared was a guarantee of accurate solutions.
