dr hab. inż. Bogumiła Masiulanis | Faculty of Chemistry at the Gdańsk University of Technology

On the 25th of February 2020, at the age of 81, Dr Bogumiła Masiulanis, a retired employee of the Department of Polymer Technology, died. She has been associated with PG since her studies in 1961. The doctoral thesis was defended on 30 VI 1970,. The title was "Chromatographic and spectrophotometric analysis of wood tannins and oak bark, spruce bark and willow bark". She was habilitated on the 25th of March 1992 based on the work "Synthesis, properties and attempts to use polyurethaneimids. She was a leader in cooperation with the industry and promoted four doctors. Awarded with the MNiSWiT award, as well as repeatedly the PG rector's awards. She was awarded the Knight's Cross of the Order Polish The Great Renaissance, the Golden Cross of Merit, and the Medal of the National Education Commission. A well-liked and cheerful lecturer and scientist has left us, highly appreciated by students, doctoral students and co-workers.
