Dr. Alojzy Bujewski passed away on November 6, 2021 at the age of 92.

Dr Bujewski, born on May 5, 1929 in Drzewianów, graduated from MA studies at the Faculty of Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry at the Pedagogical University (WSP) in Gdańsk  in 1959. He started working as an assistant at the Department of Methodology of Chemistry at the WSP in Gdańsk, and from 1966 until his retirement he was employed at the Faculty of Chemistry of the Gdańsk University of Technology. He worked as a researcher and academic teacher at the Department of General Chemistry, Institute of Inorganic Chemistry and Technology, and finally at the Department of Inorganic Chemistry. He defended his PhD thesis, entitled “Products of the reaction of hexobomotellurous acid with amides and their properties” under the supervision of Prof. Jan Dobrowolski at the Faculty of Chemistry of the Gdańsk University of Technology in 1971. He was the author and co-author of 20 publications, 4 patents and also chemistry textbooks for pupils and students.

Dr. Bujewski was an engaged, helpful and amiable academic teacher, awarded many times for his teaching activities.
