Prof. dr hab. inż. Andrzej Składanowski | Faculty of Chemistry at the Gdańsk University of Technology

It is with deep regret that we announce the fact that professor Andrzej Składanowski, PhD, DSc, Eng. died on 3 July 2023, at the age of 64, after a long and serious illness. He was a research worker, vice-dean for science at the Faculty of Chemistry in the years 2012 - 2016, and also our colleague and friend.

The professor was an outstanding scientist in the field of molecular and cellular pharmacology of anticancer compound; an academic teacher who was recognized among students. He was also an author or co-author of several dozen scientific articles and a specialist and expert known and respected nationally and internationally.

We will all remember him as a leader in science and a steadfast man of principle.
