Title of the position – PhD student scholarship holder in the National Science Centre OPUS21 project

Requirements:

1. Master degree in the area of biology, biotechnology, chemistry, biochemistry or related discipline;
2. The successful candidate must be a PhD student at Doctoral School at Gdańsk University of Technology;
3. Basic experience in microbiology, molecular biology and bioinformatics (confirmed with publications);
4. Good skills in English;
5. Passion for laboratory work, motivation and responsibility.

Plan of research

The selected candidate will join the research group of dr hab. inż. Piotr Szweda that realize the research project Opus UMO-2021/41/B/NZ9/03929, entitled: „ Biotechnological and pharmacological potential of bee products microbiota.”. The aim of the research carried out by the PhD student will be isolation from bee products bacterial strains that exhibit abilities to production of antimicrobial activity and development of methods of purification of active substances.

The conditions of employment:
