World's TOP 2% Scientists 2022 list has been announced | Faculty of Chemistry at the Gdańsk University of Technology

The latest World's TOP 2% Scientists 2022 list includes 25 scientists from the Faculty of Chemistry of Gdańsk University of Technology.

The TOP 2% ranking is prepared by analysts from Stanford University, Elsevier and SciTech Strategies.

TOP 2% Scientists 2022 consists of two separate lists. The first one assesses the scientific achievements of a research career (using data since 1960), the second one takes into account only publications and citations from the last calendar year.

The list regarding scientific careers includes 1058 researchers from Poland - representatives of 163 scientific institutions (universities and research institutes). In the ranking for the previous year, we have 1092 Poles from 165 institutions.

The ranking is prepared based on the scientific achievements of individual researchers according to the bibliometric index. The evaluation criteria were the Hirsch index, the number of citations (including self-citations), the Impact Factor and the place and role on the list of authors.
