Laboratory of Bacterial Genetics is looking for an enthusiastic student to conduct research in NCN OPUS 25 project (principal investigator: prof. dr Satish Raina) entitled “Investigating the coordinated regulation of lipopolysaccharide (LPS) and phospholipid amounts by the essential LPS assembly proteins LapB/LapC and the involvement of a new thioesterase” to investigate mechanisms balanced biosynthesis of LPS and phospholipids.

Requirements:

• student studying molecular biology/biochemistry/ biotechnology at engineering level
• knowledge about techniques in molecular biology, biochemistry and microbiology,
• experience in plasmid and chromosomal DNA isolation, protein purification, construction of transcriptional fusions
• good knowledge of spoken and written English.

Description of tasks:

• Cloning and overexpression of the acpP gene
• Comparative analysis of ACP interactomes using affinity tagging based pull-down experiments.
• Purification of the HslVU protease complex.
• Participating in data analysis and interpretation of results.

Informacje dotyczące przetwarzania danych osobowych:

3. The candidate must meet all requirements indicated for student position on awarding funding for research tasks funded by the National Science Centre as regards research projects. The successful candidate will be selected by a committee chaired by the project leader.
