Winners of the Miniatura competition

Six projects from Gdańsk University of Technology have been qualified for funding under the Miniatura 4 competition for scientific activities organized by the National Science Center. The total value of the winning projects from GUT is over PLN 240 000.

Co-financing from the National Science Center will be awarded to four projects from the Faculty of Chemistry and one each from the Faculty of Civil and Environmental Engineering and the Faculty of Architecture:

  • ‘The impact of the presence of damage on the dynamic response of concrete elements reinforced with non-metallic composite bars in the combined time and frequency domain’, project manager: PhD, Eng. Beata Zima, Faculty of Civil and Environmental Engineering, project value: PLN 48 950
  • ‘Identification and evaluation of measurable parameters regarding the visual and non-visual impact of light on people in the built environment (Human Centric Lighting)’, project manager: PhD, Eng. Arch. Karolina Zielińska-Dąbkowska, Faculty of Architecture, project value: PLN 49 500
  • ‘Superhydrophobic sponges impregnated with deep eutectic liquids to remove crude oil components from water’, project manager: PhD, Eng. Patrycja Makoś-Chełstowska, Faculty of Chemistry, project value: PLN 49 500
  • ‘Green cyclodextrin polymers for selective adsorption of organic pollutants from aqueous solutions’, project manager: PhD, Eng. Koleta Hemine, Faculty of Chemistry, project value: PLN 49 995
  • ‘New polyester bio-polyols intended for the production of polyurethane foams - synthesis and characterization’, project manager: PhD, Eng. Paulina Parcheta, Faculty of Chemistry, project value: PLN 41 800
  • ‘New 2D MXenes catalysts for synthesis gas production by dry methane reforming’, project manager: PhD, Eng. Izabela Wysocka, Faculty of Chemistry, project value: PLN 49 500.

In the Miniatura competition, you can apply for funds for the implementation of scientific activities, such as preliminary research, pilot studies, queries, research internships or consultation trips. The ranking list is available on the NSC website.
