Cooperation of the Faculty of Chemistry at Gdańsk Tech with Port Czystej Energii Sp. z o.o.

Port Czysta Energii Sp. z o.o. is responsible for the construction of the Municipal Waste Thermal Transformation Plant in Gdańsk, where a modern installation for the production of electricity and heat from municipal waste will be launched at the end of 2023.

On June 1, 2021, a meeting starting the cooperation between our Faculty and Port Czystej Energii Sp. z o.o. was held.

During the meeting, the directions of future cooperation were discussed. Dean of the Faculty, prof. Agata Kot-Wasik invited President Sławomir Kiszkurno to cooperate in the Consultative Council of the Chemical Faculty of the Gdańsk University of Technology. During the meeting, cooperation with the Port of Clean Energy was also discussed as part of the Baltic Industrial Symbiosis project implemented by the Department, co-financed by the Interreg Baltic Sea Region program.

The meeting was attended by the President of the Port of Clean Energy - Mr. Sławomir Kiszkurno, Dean of Faculty of Chemistry at Gdańsk Tech - prof. Agata Kot-Wasik, Head of the Department of Process Engineering and Chemical Technology - prof. Jacek Gębicki and the BIS project coordinator - dr inż. Joanna Mioduska.
