Prof. Kazimierz Darowicki Elected Corresponding Member of the Polish Academy of Sciences

It is with pride and joy, that we announce that Prof. Kazimierz Darowicki, PhD, DSc, Eng., a distinguished scholar from the Faculty of Chemistry at Gdańsk University of Technology, has been elected a Corresponding Member of the Polish Academy of Sciences (PAS). This is one of the highest distinctions in the Polish academic community, awarded to researchers with exceptional achievements, authority, and influence on the development of science in Poland and globally.
The decision to elect new PAS members was made during the General Assembly of the Academy, held on 26 June 2025. Professor Darowicki was appointed to the Division IV: Technical Sciences, joining an elite group of 45 scientists whose accomplishments have been recognized as vital to the advancement of national and international science.

Professor Kazimierz Darowicki is a respected expert in electrochemistry and engineering diagnostics, renowned for his pioneering work on the reliability of industrial infrastructure, including applications in the energy sector, petrochemistry, and corrosion protection.
