Four awards for DPT employees at INTARG 2022

On the 12th of May, at the International Congress Center in Katowice, the 15th jubilee International Fair of Inventions and Innovations INTARG® 2022 ended. This event is devoted to the international presentation and promotion of the potential and achievements of technological thought and science, i.e. inventions, technologies, and innovative services directed to industry.

Thanks to its high international reputation, the INTARG® trade fair has been under the patronage of the highest-ranking institutions, led by the Ministry of Development and Technology and the World Intellectual Property Organization WIPO – one of the 16 UN agencies. INTARG® is the only fair in Poland and a few in the world held under the honorary patronage of WIPO.

Over 500 inventions and innovations were exhibited, judged by 41 jurors and experts from 18 countries representing the world of science, industry, and business. During this event, 16 discussion panels and conferences were held, and the exhibitors came from nearly 40 countries.

At the fair, inventions by the employees of the Department of Polymer Technology were presented and awarded with 4 prizes:

  • Gold medal for the invention: Method for obtaining reduced flammability cast polyurethanes, authors: Janusz Datta, Paulina Parcheta-Szwindowska, Izabela Zagożdżon, Joanna Niesiobędzka, Patent application in the Polish Patent Office No. P.434425.
  • Silver medal for the invention: Linear polyester bio-polyols and the method of obtaining them, authors: Paulina Parcheta-Szwindowska, Kamila Rohde, Janusz Datta, Patent application in the Polish Patent Office No. P.438914.
  • Bronze medal for the invention: Method for obtaining linear polyester bio-polyols, authors: Janusz Datta, Paulina Parcheta-Szwindowska, PATENT in the Polish Patent Office, number 234556.
  • Special award granted by the World Invention Intellectual Property Associations for the invention: Method of obtaining flame-retardant cast polyurethanes, authors: Janusz Datta, Paulina Parcheta-Szwindowska, Izabela Zagożdżon, Joanna Niesiobędzka, Patent application in the UPRP no. P.434425.
