Results of the Aurum Supporting International Research Team Building competition (3rd edition) | Faculty of Chemistry at the Gdańsk University of Technology

In the 3rd edition of the Aurum Supporting International Research Team Building program, 7 applications received funding (50% submitted applications) for a total amount of more than PLN 2.5 million.

The funds awarded under the competition will influence and enrich the scientific potential of Gdansk University of Technology. Under the program, new research teams will be formed, led by PG scientists conducting research with foreign scientists.

At the Faculty of Chemistry, funding was granted to projects:

1. Project subject: „Plant extracts and their components as potential antifungal drugs”
   Project manager: Piotr Szweda, PhD, DSc, Eng. (Department of Pharmaceutical Technology and Biochemistry)
   Funds awarded: PLN 341,275.80
2. Project subject: „3D printed nanostructured composites based on polymer-derived ceramics and nanoparticle forming alloys for lithium and sodium-ion batteries”
   Project manager: Monika Wilamowska-Zawłocka, PhD, DSc, Eng. (Department of Energy Conversion and Storage)
   Funds awarded: PLN 299,520
