Victory of DreamTeam - the sports team of the Faculty of Chemistry | Faculty of Chemistry at the Gdańsk University of Technology

On 15 May 2024, as part of the Sports Day celebration at Gdańsk University of Technology, sports competitions were held. Nine five-person teams representing individual faculties and central units took part in the interfaculty competition. The Faculty of Chemistry was represented by Marek Tobiszewski (representative of the dean's college), Radosław Pomećko (representative of teaching staff), Mariusz Marcia (representative of research and teaching staff), Filip Redzimski (representative of the administration) and Paweł Rutecki (representative of doctoral students).

The teams competed in five different competitions - goal throw, goal shot, basket throw, tug of war and archery. Our team performed great in each competition. The throws and shots were very accurate, and during the tug of war we defeated a strong team from the FECE. Before the competition that is new to all of us, archery, Jerzy Kwiatkowski, who accompanied the team, provided great support. Jerzy, who, as it turned out, practices archery every day, gave some valuable tips on how to use a bow. The theory provided about the archer's stance, how to draw the string, aim and release the arrow turned out to be so helpful that the team from the Faculty of Chemistry was also unrivaled in this discipline.

Ultimately, our team finished the competition in first place. Congratulations to you all!
