Employees and PhD students from the Department of Polymer Technology at the Kielce Fair | Faculty of Chemistry at the Gdańsk University of Technology

On 21-24 of May this year, employees and PhD students of the Faculty of Chemistry from the Department of Polymer Technology were exhibitors at the 28th International Fair of Plastics and Rubber Processing PLASTPOL in Kielce.

This was part of the Tadeusz Pompowski’s Award, and the team consisted of: M. Sienkiewicz, PhD, Eng., P. Gnatowski, MSc, Eng., E. Piłat, MSc, Eng. and Justyna Kucińska-Lipka, PhD, DSc, Eng.

They had the pleasure of presenting the Gdańsk Tech invention protected by the European patent EP 3064542, implemented into industrial production at BIOPLAST POM Sp. z o.o., which acquired a license to use the rights to the invention.

The presented invention was also awarded a medal at the Plastpol Fair in the Special Techniques (measuring, computer, etc.) category for BIO PLAST POM in cooperation with Gdańsk University of Technology for a biodegradable, compostable material based on potato starch.
