Erasmus Days

Would you like to study for a few months in another country? Have you found an interesting training abroad? Well, but what about the pandemic and related restrictions? International Relations Office invites students and staff interested in mobility under the Erasmus+ program to participate in Erasmus Days (December 6-10).

Every year, International Relations Office in together with the Erasmus Student Network Gdańsk organizes Erasmus Days - informational meetings when staff and students can listen about possibilities of mobility under the Erasmus+ program. This year, due to the new agreement that Gdańsk Tech has signed for the implementation of the program and the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, we especially encourage you to participate in the event. Erasmus Days will be held at the faculties and in the recently renovated Hydromechanika building (no. 11).

Cafe Lingua meeting - 10.11.2021

Cafe Lingua - Polish Culture Night
Cafe Lingua is a weekly event organized by the Language Centre together with the Academic Sport Centre and Mathematics Centre. Polish and international students meet to socialise and communicate in different languages in a relaxed atmosphere.

In Café Lingua you will have a chance to meet new people, speak any language you wish, take part in quizzes, team games and activities. You can also enjoy amazing karaoke nights with us.

English is going to be the main language of communication, but we will also arrange other language zones, such as Spanish, German, Italian, Polish or Chinese, it is up to you how many.

Members of the interdepartmental scientific association SimLE taking part in the second edition of the European Rocketry Challenge (EuRoc)

On 11-17.10.2021 Julia Godlewska, a student of the Faculty of Chemistry, together with the SimLE interdepartmental scientific association, took part in the 2nd edition of the European Rocketry Challenge (EuRoc) - a university rocket competition, promoted by the Portuguese Space Agency. The event was attended by about 400 students from all over Europe gathered in 20 teams, including three groups from Poland. Students from Gdańsk University of Technology designed and built the R5 rocket. 

Prof. Janusz Rachoń becomes a member of the Historical and Program Board of the ESC

Janusz Rachoń
Prof. Janusz Rachoń, rector of Gdańsk University of Technology in 2002-2008 and senator of the Republic of Poland of the 7th term, was appointed by Aleksandra Dulkiewicz, President of Gdańsk, to the Historical and Program Board of the European Solidarity Center for the term 2021-2025.

The Historical and Program Board of the ESC appointed prof. Janusz Rachoń "with gratitude for taking up the social mission of keeping the Solidarity movement attractive and up-to-date, cherishing the memory of this peaceful revolution as the founding myth of common Europe, making Solidarity a source of inspiration and hope".

Welcome Meeting for the newcomers

Students from different countries
Over 470 students from 42 countries - from Singapore, China, Russia, EU countries, the USA and Brazil - have been accepted this year to study at Gdańsk University of Technology. On Thursday, September 30th at 10:00 a.m. there will be an online Welcome Meeting for all newly admitted international students.

Every year, the International Relations Office organizes an information meeting for foreigners, starting their studies at the Gdańsk University of Technology. The event is not only an opportunity to welcome new foreign students at the University, but also to provide important information related to the beginning of the academic year, organization of studies and life in Gdańsk.

Research visit in the framework of the Europium Short-Term Outgoing Visits programme

Karol Parchem

In the framework of the Europium Short-Term Outgoing Visits program, Dr Karol Parchem from the Department of Chemistry, Technology and Biotechnology of Food received a scholarship for a 4-week research visit in the Mass Spectrometry Center of the University of Aveiro (UA) in Portugal, led by Professor Rosário Domingues.
