On 25-27 May, crowds of visitors, mainly children and young people, could be spotted all over the campus of the Gdańsk University of Technology, including the Faculty of Chemistry. The 20th edition of the Baltic Science Festival was taking place at that time. As every year, the event was full of workshops and laboratory demonstrations, multimedia presentations, excursions, science picnics and lectures presented in a very accessible, often spectacular and sometimes amusing manner. There was a lot going on at the Faculty of Chemistry.

The gala was hosted by Agata Kot-Wasik, Dean of the Faculty of Chemistry, Marek Tobiszewski, Vice-Dean for Science, and Urszula Kampowska and Tomasz Laskowski as masters of the ceremony.

On 1 April AmberExpo hosted the Secondary Schools Fair and the Gala of the competition Employer Friendly to Gdańsk Vocational School. They were the finale of the Gdańsk Professional Week, which started on 27 March. The Secondary School Fair is an event organized by the city authorities, which have been supporting the activities of vocational education for years, as it is of great importance for the quality of the labor market.

The funds awarded under the competition will increase the level of quality of scientific activity of the Gdansk University of Technology. Under the program, it is possible to obtain a university grant to finance the costs of ongoing research and development of young scientists in areas consistent with the activities of the Priority Centers of PG's Research Areas.

Professor Żaneta Polkowska, PhD, DSc, Eng., on the 21st February 2023 has become a member of the Polar Research Committee of the Presidium of the Polish Academy of Sciences for the term 2023-2026 (by the ruling of the Presidium of PAS no. 9/2023 from 21/02/2023 invoking the members of the problem committees and councils of the Presidium of the Polish Academy of Sciences for the term of office 2023-2026).
