Scholarships of the Minister of Education and Science awarded to outstanding young scientists

The results of the procedure for granting scholarships of the Minister of Education and Science for outstanding young scientists in 2023 (edition 18) have been announced

On 29 June, 2023, from among the applications of persons meeting the conditions for receiving the scholarship, the Minister of Education and Science, Przemysław Czarnek, awarded scholarships to 230 young scientists representing 51 scientific and artistic disciplines, including 37 doctoral students.

On 30 June, Ms. Kinga Domańska defended her PhD dissertation.

Thesis title: Corrosion monitoring system in water installations of the Baltic Beta mining platform. The aim of the work was to implement a corrosion monitoring system for the installation of sea water injection into the oil deposit on the Baltic Beta mining platform and to select an effective corrosion inhibitor.

Professor Janusz Pawliszyn awarded with an entry in the "Golden Book of Gdańsk Tech"

Professor Janusz Pawliszyn was a guest of the Faculty of Chemistry of the Gdańsk University of Technology. He is a great scientist, graduate of the Faculty of Chemistry of Gdańsk Tech in 1978. Currently, He is employed at the University of Waterloo in Canada. Recently, He was entered into the Golden Book of Gdańsk Tech.

The distinction in the form of an entry in the Golden Book of the Gdańsk University of Technology is a distinction awarded by the Rector, prof. Krzysztof Wilde. This is a special form of honoring people associated with the Gdańsk University of Technology, whose professional activity for the university as well as professional activity in various fields of scientific, economic, cultural, sports, social, organizational or public activity brings pride to Gdańsk University of Technology.

Winner of the Best Scientific Poster Competition

Denys Suprun, a 3rd semester master’s degree student of Chemical Technology at the Faculty of Chemistry, is the winner of the Competition for the Best Scientific Poster at the 8th Scientific Conference "Energy Security – Pillars and Development Perspective".
