The topic of the speech by Dr. David Krasa (head of the unit responsible for assessing ERC grant applications in the area of chemistry) was the presentation of ERC grants with particular emphasis on the success rates of Polish chemists. During his speech, Dr. Krasa gave some valuable tips for those applying for this type of grants.

It is with deep regret that we inform you that on 3 July, 2023, after a long and serious illness, passed away prof. Andrzej Foldanowski, PhD, DSc, Eng. researcher, vice-dean for science at the Faculty of Chemistry in the years 2012 - 2015.
We will all remember him as a leader in science, a man of principles and a respected academic teacher.
On 29 June, 2023, from among the applications of persons meeting the conditions for receiving the scholarship, the Minister of Education and Science, Przemysław Czarnek, awarded scholarships to 230 young scientists representing 51 scientific and artistic disciplines, including 37 doctoral students.
On 30 June, Ms. Kinga Domańska defended her PhD dissertation.
Thesis title: Corrosion monitoring system in water installations of the Baltic Beta mining platform. The aim of the work was to implement a corrosion monitoring system for the installation of sea water injection into the oil deposit on the Baltic Beta mining platform and to select an effective corrosion inhibitor.
On June 29, 2023, we hosted at the Faculty of Chemistry graduates of the Gdańsk University of Technology, who form the elite club PKB+, i.e. the Polytechnic Business Club+.

On July 6, 2023 1.15 pm in Auditorium 1.4 a faculty seminar will take place. As part of the faculty seminar, a representative of the European Research Council (ERC) Executive Agency, Dr. David Krása, will deliver a speech.
